Non Destructive Testing (NDT)

Non-destructive testing is one of the main activities of General inspection Company. With qualified personnel in the various non-destructive testing methods who maintain high levels of competence thanks to training and continuous updating of their knowledge in each of our departments, we provide you with efficient teams who guarantee quality services. Our interventions are carried out within a regulatory framework on new structures, on structures undergoing maintenance or as expertise using the following methods:

Visual inspection (VT)

Visual inspection allows the detection of any defect emerging on the surface (cracks, scratches, porosities, shrink marks, cold drops, lines, folds, splits, cracks, cracks, deposits, traces of corrosion, deposits, migrating bodies , tearing, etc.).

Radiographic testing (RT)

Radiography is a non-destructive testing method that consists of obtaining an image of the material density of an object crossed by X or gamma electromagnetic radiation. Radiography is a technique that allows you to visualize the lack of material in the volume of the controlled object, on a twodimensional image.

Ultrasonic inspection (UT)

ultrasound has several advantages such as the necessary access to only one side of the part, the sensitivity of detecting defects, the possible control of compactness of the entirety of a given volume and the positioning indications detected in the thickness. Ultrasonic inspection also allows the estimation of the importance of an indication using its reflective power or the attenuation produced.

Magnetic particle inspection (MT)

Magnetic particle inspection is a process widely used in sectors such as metal construction, forging, boilermaking, etc. It allows to control parts of simple or complex geometry. The relatively quick operation can be performed on both small parts (screws 10 mm in length) and large parts (ship crankshafts, aircraft landing gear).

Penetrant testing (PT)

Penetrant testing is an NDT method that is easily integrated into production or maintenance lines. Apart from the low cost of implementation, one of the main advantages lies in the possibility of detecting defects such as cracks, corrosion cracks, porosity, pitting, etc. with great reliability, whatever their orientation and their location on the part to be inspected, but also whatever the size and complexity of its geometry.
